Here's a look at Danielle's Guide to St. Barths:

 

TO TRAVEL:

  • Typical route- Newark to San Juan & a Tradewinds flight to St. Barths. A less expensive option- fly to St Martin & hopper plane/ferry from there 

  • Rent a mini cooper convertible/hire a driver, getting around the island is tricky and there are barely any taxis. Set this up in advance 

  • Highly suggest using SBH Reality to book all reservations and your stay


TO DO/TIPS:

  • Shopping in Gustavia (local shops and side streets)

  • Surfing at Lorient beach or Le Toiny 

  • Pre-dinner drinks at Eden Rocks Remy bar (cocktails are wow) 

  • Explore ALL of the beaches, they’re all different and stunning 

  • Book second seating for lunch and dinners (3pm & 9pm) for ultimate party vibes, every restaurant that has dancing turns into a big party 

  • Natural pool hikes (be careful or go with someone that has been - certain locations can be dangerous)

  • Hike Colombier (bring towels to swim)

  • Zion gym- good workout & great smoothies 

  • Eden to go (coffee and pastries by the airport strip)

  • Bring cash to pay valet everywhere 

  • Nikki Beach- 3:30pm seating for a sunset party 

  • Modjo- new nightclub 


TO EAT:

  • Shellona- favorite lunch on the island, grab beach chairs for the day, must reserve in advance and confirm morning of

  • Gypsea- fun Tulum aesthetic restaurant on the beach, can walk along the water to Nikki Beach after 

  • Toiny - hotel with an awesome restaurant on the beach, great spot to post up on chairs food the day, amazing lunch & surfing 

  • Bonito- favorite restaurant for dinner, great vibe and amazing food

  • La Petite Plage- fun dancing dinner, book the later seating for optimal party 

  • Le Cafe- fun piano bar, new restaurant 

  • La Guerite- Isali restaurant with amazing food & fun vibes 

  • L’isola - white table cloth Italian restaurant with great food and sexy nyc vibes 

  • NAO Beach- new spot with sushi & more, there’s music & dancing 

  • La Guerite Beach Club- new amazing beach club next to Nikki- great food & really nice beach chairs 

  • Le Tamarin- in the jungle aesthetic, Island’y restaurant with amazing food 

  • Ti’Cortail-  little spot with an amazing chef, great for a quick lunch & swim 

  • Kinugawa- awesome asian fusion restaurant 

  • La Cantina- great local spot in town 

  • Le Ti- dinner & a show, not the best food but a fun experience 

  • Lil rock- Eden rock’s restaurant, love it for lunch 

  • La Creperie- quick yummy bites 

  • L’isoletta- quick bite pizza 

  • Black Ginger & Baz Bar- take out 

  • Mamo- yummy Italian food


TO STAY: 

  • Eden Rock- amazing high end hotel, perfect for a honeymoon/couples trip, great beach with crystal clear water 

  • Le Barthelemy- gorgeous secluded hotel, great to relax and beautiful waterfront property

  • Le Sereno- a more secluded relaxing hotel with a beautiful aesthetic 

  • Rosewood- beautiful property, great for families 

  • Le Car Gustaf- right above the town of Gustavia & connected to Shellona’s beach club, design oriented, book a room with a private pool 

  • Villa rental- we usually rent a villa, there are a lot of options! Book with SBH Reality 

  • Hotel Christopher- great for families, mainly a pool hang, no beach

  • Cheval Blanc- gorgeous hotel, great for families 

  • Gypsea Villas- connected to the restaurant and amazing beach 

  • Pearl beach hotel- slightly more affordable hotel on Saint Jean beach next to NAO
